A directional tread pattern works with circumferential grooves to force water out of the tread and reduce the risk of hydroplaning on wet roads, and the Valera Sport AS also features large shoulder blocks that keep the tire stiff and put more rubber on the road to boost cornering and handling performance when driving at higher speeds. A built-in rim protector guards the wheel and sidewall against curbing damage, and the Valera Sport AS utilizes variable pitch tread blocks to lower road noises and vibrations so that drivers and passengers consistently receive a quiet, comfortable ride.
