SimpleTire’s view on Primewell Valera HT tires
Most drivers don’t need an ultra-high-performance tire that has slot-car handling for curvy roads and hard cornering. Drivers of crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks usually do just fine with a touring tire or all-season tire that’ll last for several years and has safe, dependable traction and performance.
That’s what you get with the Primewell Valera HT – just a good, no-nonsense, premium-quality tire that doesn’t come with a premium price tag.

Tire side wall rolls significantly creating a floating feeling as well as some crazy under and over steering when evasive maneuvers are performed almost to the point of losing control of vehicle. On wet roads they lose traction and spin every time even with the slightest of accelerator pressure.
This is Surprisingly a way better tire than what folks say they are. I've had Primewell Valera H/T since it was introduced to me by a Firestone Tire Specialist in 2012 Las Vegas. I've had 2 set since then on my '04 Expedition. I just got a 2012 Expedition LTD 4x4 and I'm about to put a new Primewell Valera HT on it, since it's also favorable on the price, why pay more for a Brand if this one had done its job the way Tires should and more? Quite on the road, great handling on both wet and dry seasons, not your perfect snow tires but this got me through more than couple of snow mountain places. Expensive brands ain't always the way. There are hidden gems out there and this is one of them few!
I've had these Valera HT on both of my vehicles since 2012 when it was first introduced to me by a Firestone tire tech. I was hesitant but in my surprise these tires actually handled itself pretty well than my preferred brand BFG's. Valera HT had no noise, wet and dry excellent, and also handled almost a foot of snow pretty well when I drove my 2004 Ford Expedition (2WD) through the Utah mountains from Las Vegas-NV. And it didn't disappoint when I moved my family to Seattle-WA. We even took a 3weeks road trip during the Covid-19 from Vegas-San Francisco-Boise-Yellowstone-Salt Lake-Vegas, never had a problem with these Tires! Now I'm looking for the 2rd set as I'm past 62k on these shoes. I wish they came with a more aggressive look with the same qualities of tires, we will see unless I find something of similar value (or better) for about the same price as these Valera HT. Have fun with your Tire hunt!
