I replaced Nitto 555's with Nitto 555 G2's on my Shelby Mustang. Better ride and less noise from this 2nd generation tire from Nitto. Can't comment on wet handling as I rarely drive the car in rain. The first set of Nitto's were terrible in wet conditions. As for tread life, I had a little over 40K miles on the first set of Nitto 555's, and probably could have gotten another 5K miles, but I wanted to try the next gen tires.
Hell no i am not going to give any good feed back about your shitty company
hit speeds in excess of 100mph,not 1 problem with rubber gripping the road, like hot tar!
Excellent tire although not cheap. Delivery was exceptionally prompt; would definitely buy from Simpletire again...
I am concerned with how narrow they run compared to other tires I have used. I buy a lot of tires/wheels and my typical tire size is 235x35x19. Last several sets of tires I have owned, for example are Continental DW, Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Position, Yokohama AD08 and now the Nitto NT555 that I just purchased. My goal was to maximize my fender clearance based on my wheel specs and desired stance. I always run a 19x9.5'' wheel and always buy 235x35x19 tires. I purchased the Nitto tires because they were supposed to run 0.12" narrower than my previous tires. This is all based on the measurements I took from the manufacturers websites. For example, the Continental DW in a 235x35x19 has a section width of 9.5" on an 8.5" wheel. The Nitto in a 235x35x19 has a section width of 9.38" on an 8.5" wheel. The difference is 0.12" (or 2mm). The difference with the tires on the wheels is way more drastic than the manufacturer's measurements will lead you to believe. The Continental 235 is barely a stretch at all on a 9.5" wheel. The Nitto looks like a 225 or even a 215. It's a pretty drastic stretch. Very disappointed at his much narrower these are than every other tire I've had in this size.
I've had nothing but success with these tires, I see a huge jump in performance and handling,
Ultra performance summer tire is right. do not try to use these in the wintertime its jsut not a good idea everybody
