SimpleTire’s view on Milestar Patagonia A/T R tires

    Milestar Patagonia A/T R

If you’re looking for an affordable all-terrain tire that can deliver satisfactory performance in both on- and off-road conditions and provide traction in dry, wet, and light winter conditions, the Milestar Patagonia A/T R tire could be a great choice. It doesn’t disappoint while driving in deep mud too; thanks to its cutting-edge tread pattern. Likewise, the performance of this tire in wet conditions is also very admirable. Customers may also applaud its 50,000 mile tread life warranty.

However, if you wish to buy this tire, you probably might have to ignore things like compromised ride comfort, higher noise levels, sluggish performance on snow, lesser tread life, and laggy off-road performance as compared to rivals.

This all-terrain tire competes against the likes of the GT Radial Adventuro AT3, Kumho Road Venture AT52, Nokian Outpost AT, Kenda Klever A/T2, and Nexen Roadian AT Pro RA8.

Made for use on light trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps, the Patagonia A/T R tire can be a great replacement choice for vehicles like RAM 2500, Jeep Wrangler, Chevrolet Avalanche, Toyota 4Runner, and Dodge RAM 1500.

I live in the PNW and these tires are not great in wet conditions like advertised. They're definitely affordable and decent but do ware fast and contribute to a lot of road noise. I'll definitely be upgrading.

I labeled Winter as N/A because we have not gotten snow yet. Comfort is a 4 instead of a 5 just because they feel a little floaty, the truck has a little more lane wander after throwing these tires on but its nothing that really bothers me. I also labeled "noise" as N/A because I love having tire noise, I don't think these make too much but I really don't notice it. So far I have had them offroad in gravel, rocky, and grassy terrain. I also run them every day on the highway with no complaints, my fuel mileage has gone down a little since putting them on but they are more aggressive than the tires I had before. I just pulled out my boat the other day, usually would have to use 4wd due to the wet boat landing and the weight of the boat but these tires pulled just fine in 2wd no slipping. I have put around 6,000 miles on the tires and the tread is holding up well.

I drive a ram 2500 with the cummins. I originally had nitto mud grapplers, but with the Florida heat and the torque I'm at they weren't cutting it was replacing them every 10k miles. I then went to a cheap all-terrain and those were worse lasted me about 5k miles. Got these one I've put about 20k miles on them since I've purchased them a month or 2 ago still have all the little hairs on the tire! rides smooth as can be down the high way. No issues so far, has no problem running 60mph down dirt roads.

Took them in 3 times to try and get them balanced with no luck. Shaking/vibration at 60+ mph. These tires are the worst I've owned as far as throwing rocks and pebbles. And by far the worst when it comes to getting rocks stuck in the tread. Not a fan of rocks flying out of my tread at highway speeds and dinging my truck as well as the possibility of hitting other vehicles. Working on getting a refund now.

I have taken them in twice to get balanced and the shop can't get them balanced. Very noticeable shaking at around 60mph. Comparable shaking to my mud terrains that I had on before. Not something an AT tire should be doing. Very noticeable shaking in the steering wheel and from the back end. I'll try one more time to get them balanced before looking into returning them.

I was skeptical at first but after a couple of road trips and a good bit of city driving I liking these tires. They have some road noise but not too bad. In dry conditions they perform quite well. When the roads are wet they do get a little loose but only under heavier throttle. I have recommended them to a few friends and I will likely buy them again when this set wears out.

Quiet. Thank god they are quiet. Opera tires are cool and all but I don't want that anymore. They are great in the snow and water also.
