CrossWind is the pinnacle of tire innovation, technology and quality assurance in the world of passenger, SUV, and light truck tires. With numerous manufacturing locations around the world, CrossWind is able to supply you with an ever-expanding selection of tread designs. Their goal is to design tires that are both highly effective and economical.
The Crosswind All Season UHP is an all-season, ultra-high-performance tire that is manufactured for passenger vehicles. For vehicles such as performance compacts, coupes, CUVs, and sedans, these tires provide superior performance.
But, is it the best tire for your car and your budget? Let's take a look at a review of Crosswind All Season UHP to see if it's the right tire for you.
Features and Benefits
With UHP tires, you can get maximum performance and traction from your vehicles while the all-season component allows for year-round use. By learning about the features and benefits of Crosswind All Season UHP tires, you can determine whether these tires will improve the performance of your vehicle.
- Solid all-season traction: The symmetric tread pattern and all-season rubber compound improve traction in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions. The tire's circumferential grooves remove water and slush from the footprint, preventing hydroplaning.
- Better braking: By increasing friction at the point of braking, the symmetric tread design reduces braking distance. Particularly on wet and slippery surfaces, they give the driver more stability and keep the car from spinning out of control.
- Great handling: Solid center ribs that ensure continued road contact enhances driving stability and steering response. In effect, the tire handles the driver's various demands, including steering, accelerating, and braking. Large shoulder blocks improve handling and turning ability.
- Special rim guard: An exterior rim flange protector guards the rims from curb damage and other road hazards.
- Better performance: Tread design distributes high-speed driving pressure evenly across the entire tread area, relieving pressure on the tire and preventing heat buildup. As a result, the model's high-speed performance improves. This allows the tire to perform at its maximum high-speed capability without deforming its optimal shape.
Pros and Cons
So, is it a good fit for your passenger vehicles? Before giving our final opinion, let's first look at its Pros and Cons:
- All-season tread pattern to boost dry, wet, and light winter weather traction
- Backed by 40,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
- Circumferential grooves to remove water and slush from the tread to reduce the risk of hydroplaning
- Symmetrical tread design to offer better braking
- Large shoulder blocks to boost handling and turning performance
- Rim flange protector to protect wheels from curb damage
- Comparatively inexpensive compared to some competitors
Despite having all of these features and benefits, the Crosswind All Season UHP tire could be better in some areas, such as:
- They might not perform well on icy roads

Noise is minimal if any, holds corners well, I live on a very winding rural road. I have driven only an hour in rain but had no issues at speeds up to 80mph.This vehicle is not really driven in snow, sits low to the road so we drive trucks.
Great tire for price. I did try to drive up a rather steep grassy hill. It didn't make it, however it did incredibly well. Good in snow and wet. Tested both living in Pennsylvania and driving 45 mins one way to work
I honestly purchased these cheap set of tires for the sole purpose to get me through the end of winter with intensions to going back to my summer set. I must say I'm very impressed though. I am currently still running them on my S197 and really have had zero complaints. Ride quality is nice wet or dry. I've been running them for over 5,000 miles now and tread still looks almost new! I would recommend Crosswinds as a cheap option for anyone!
Second set I've owned and will keep purchasing in the future
